Area of Origin: The area of production is the Brindisi district, where the land is flat and the soil is deep and loose, hence vocated to vines growing.
Hints of the Vineyard: Since the ancient Greeks times, the area surrounding Brindisi has been recognized as particularly suited to grow up Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera vines. They are indigenous origins and still grown by the traditional Apulian training method called Alberello (head training).
Vinification: The grapes are harvested by hand and then fermented in temperature controlled vats. After the fermentation the wine ages in oak to refine and enhance its characteristics.
Ageing: Oak Barrels
Grape Variety: Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera
Tasting Notes: The colour is intense dark red with purple hues. The aroma is floral with pronounced hints of forest flowers, as well as currant and dry figs. The taste is harmonic, rich, velvety and well structured with a pleasantly tannic finish.
Food Pairing Notes: As a very prestigious wine, it goes perfectly with rich dishes of the classic Mediterranean cousine. Red meat, game, spicy roast meat, grilled vegetables and tasteful soups. Serving temperature 18/20 °C. Please uncork 2 hours before serving.
