Quality has always been one of the most important aspects on which Giordano Vini has focused.

Since the beginning of its long history, Giordano Vini has paid special attention to the quality of its products and of all stages of the wine-making process. To offer its partners the best guarantees, the company regularly undergoes strict controls, thus reaching the highest standards of quality.

The certification system ISO 9001 (International Organisation for Standardisation, www.iso.ch) ensures that Giordano Vini operates in perfect compliance with the “quality” concept, to the total benefit of the customers and consumers of its products

In December 2005, Giordano Vini was certified according to the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 regulation and in January 2010 this certifying system was adapted to the new UNI EN ISO 9001:2008. This certification is the reference regulation for the control of both the company running system and the quality of the wine-making processes.
Since 2015 we are also BRC & IFS certified, which regulate the food quality and safety standards.

The purpose was to certify that the processes followed by Giordano Vini:

  • Are consolidated
  • Are recorded
  • Are aimed at providing its customers with a product and a constant service of quality
  • Record the Quality Policy, the offered products and services, the organisational system, the business processes in terms of activities, responsibilities and resources
  • Provide tools that contribute to the achievement of corporate objectives and continuous improvement
  • Guarantee the adequacy and effectiveness of the Quality Management System to ensure that the requirements of the customer and the applicable regulatory requirements are complying.

Giordano Vini has also aimed at the target of being a leading company in ensuring the environmental quality, as well as the health and safety of all its employees.
In 2001, actually, always looking for constant improvement, Giordano Vini began the procedure to obtain the Health and Safety Management System certification according to the "OHSAS 18001" standard regulation. At the end of March 2012, after the first audit conducted in October 2011, the Company gained the valued certification.

The international OHSAS 18001 is a voluntary regulation: the company has freely chosen to implement it in order to certify the Company itself on the basis of what is set in this regulation; it is a tool that allows the correct management of security issues in the company, thanks to both an evaluation of all risks in advance and their consequent reduction through preventive actions arising from a continuous improvement plan. The Management System Certification for Workers’ Safety and Health allows Giordano Vini:

  • a reduction in the number of accidents through both prevention and control of the workplaces;
  • a reduction in the risk of serious injuries;
  • a proper management of the human resources and their motivation;
  • a reduction in the material losses resulting from accidents and interruptions of the wine-making process;
  • fundamental policies for an integrated management system of quality and safety including environmental aspects;
  • a reduction of insurance premiums;
  • the satisfaction of the public opinion which is more and more sensitive to issues such as safety and health at work.
